Architecture 2030 Theory Hour

I found this weeks theory hour with John Linn to be the best yet. He was interesting and engaging and i believe the audience received his message very well. He spoke about SUSTAINABILITY and what is being done to help achieve it. The main programs he talked about were AIA 2030 and ARCHITECTURE 2030. AIA 2030 is about having building  become carbon neutral by the year 2030. ARCHITECTURE 2030 is led by a man named Ed Mazria who is working toward the common goal of being carbon neutral by 2030.

The honest fact of the matter is that humans are destroying the environment. As John said we are a storm on this earth, and we need to start taking responsibility our actions yesterday. We are an agent of transformation for the worse; we are being constructive and destructive simultaneously; we are not a place or thing but a process.

These projects, AIA 2030 and ARCHITECTURE 2030, are very large strides toward saving our planet but they are not enough.
